LOUDER Connect is dedicated to challenging the way we are, the way we live, and the way we work by placing at the centre of the conversation the topics needed to develop new paradigms.
This year, LOUDER Connect explores the relationship between women and funding by capturing the perspectives of various stakeholders (the “dots”), and how they all line up to form the bigger picture. This summit aims to paint the picture of why female-led businesses are not getting funded as much as they should. Does the problem lie in the companies themselves, gender-biased investment culture, or is there something else altogether that’s preventing female-led businesses from enjoying the dynamic investment activity that male-led companies seem to experience? More than spark a dialogue, this event will illuminate the issue and create actionable solutions to help bridge the gap.

A cosy round table of successful female entrepreneurs will share what they learned when they didn’t get the funding, but the other woman did. Attendees will be able to ask questions and learn from these inspiring leaders.

Radical Debate™
This is a 2 vs 2 debate on whether venture capitalists are the root of the funding problem for female-led businesses by giving preference to male-led businesses.
The audience will vote (via digital platform) before and after the debate to see how many people changed their minds based on the content of the debate.

International Women’s Day 2023 was themed on Embracing Equity - which is focused on giving people what they need. But what do female-led business need? And what do we need from female-led businesses? Prominent women come to the stage to explore both sides of the question.

As women gain recognition, opportunities, and influence in the workplace, the balance between men and women is changing. This is a 2 vs 2 debate on whether male-led businesses still have it easier than female-led businesses, or are we getting very close to a level playing field?

Networking
The last hour of the festival will be dedicated to the "She Means Business" Networking, providing attendees with opportunities to connect with entrepreneurs and investors. Mentoring sessions will also be available to connect female entrepreneurs with potential investors.
